I am interested in simulation work and this book covers a lot of information on Simulation. It’s use of the Open Source Physics libraries are interesting and prevent you from re-inventing the wheel. However, I do not think the API’s are covered well and I required to order the book specifically on the OSP library. Having been a Java Programmer for 20+ years helped. This book is helping me understand problems I had with computer simulation (albeit back in FORTRAN IV days) as an undergrad. I am REALLY enjoying going through the book and working the exercises and improving my skills there. I hope to go back and work on an applied math degree (since I have retired) in a year or so... So, this is a step towards that.
