Nice big easy to read screen. It stops when you stop and starts again when you do. Has all the features I need. Speed, distance and time of a trip, and also the TOTAL time and distance.I have a custom Trek Emonda ALR-5 bike for racing triathlons. While the bike was being built at our local bike shop nearly two years ago, I chose the Sigma Pure ATS-1 wireless computer to be installed. The shop only had one left in stock.I got my bike after the tri season was over and rode it, with the computer, only about 20 miles. Stored the bike indoors, in a spare bedroom, for the winter and started riding it again in late spring 2018.I loved the Sigma for its simplicity and ease of use -- only ONE button toggles you through everything it can do, including resetting for the next trip. So simple, so easy; the display is big and bright and the design is sleek. This computer tells the 3 data points I want to know : speed (mph), distance and time elapsed. PERFECT. I don't need to know anything more. But, as the season progressed, on some rides, the computer would freeze for a few seconds or for as long as 30 to 45 seconds ... which ruins the data. All three of those data points are crucial for racing a triathlon, so this problem was trending toward annoying.Fast forward to this season -- only under way by 6 weeks or so now -- and the problem got a lot worse. To start, both units needed a new 2032 flat battery; easy to fix. But the freezing -- resulting in "0.0 mph" showing on the screen and time and distance stuck -- got much worse, to the point that on any ride, only about half the distance got recorded. At this point, the Sigma website and internet search for the cause of the problem was unhelpful, and the local bike shop guys -- one of whom uses the same computer -- couldn't figure it out, either. So, because I like the Sigma Pure 1 ATS so much, I ordered a new one from Amazon two weeks ago. Now I'm returning it.Yep, you guessed it -- the replacement model is even WORSE with the same problem than the original I'd bought from the bike shop when my bike was being built. This one, much of the time, won't even start working when I start biking; instead, its function is so totally random and intermittent, it's like a toddler crashing piano keys. Just. nuts.I would also like to mention that last summer, I enjoyed using the Sigma Pure ATS-1 so much (before it went wonky) that I ordered one from Amazon and installed it on my everyday bike, which is also a Trek road bike. Stored all winter, the battery is still going strong and the computer reads out perfectly. The score is two bad computer modules (apparently) vs. one that works. A 33% success rate is mighty doggone poor, in my estimation. It's a great device when it works, but I don't care to roll the dice a 4th time.I now have a Bontrager (Trek's own brand) cycling computer that functions in much in the same way but requires more toggling to see the same information. I highly prefer the design and data of the Sigma Pure ATS-1 and am saddened that German engineering can't provide consistency in manufacturing. It has been a good computer, but I have only had it on a few rides. It is easy to read, even with polarized sunglasses. I like the way it looks. It is pretty accurate. Me and my wife have the same computers and we might be off a quarter + mile at the end of a ride. Not too bad for the price. I have not had it over 40 yet, but I guess I do not care if it is off a mile or two on the speed. The only thing that was bad, is that it came with two bad batteries, which was a bit of a pain, but not the end of the world. For the price, I think it is a great product, but at the end of the day, I think all budget bike computers are roughly the same. I just like the look of this one. While the set-up instructions seem to be unnecessarily complex, the product is great. Once the bicycle information is input and the sensor and speedometer are mounted on the bicycle, the operation is very easy. No superfluous data, just the basics needed to enjoy a nice bicycle ride. There are only two screens: The first screen gives current trip MPH, travel distance, and travel time. The second screen gives the total travel distance, and total travel time since the screen was last reset. I have verified the accuracy by riding my bicycle on a pre-measured course. When the same ride was repeated, the results were very consistent. The display is large and easy to read.I tried cheap computers that were GPS and altitude. They were not accurate and the documentation was impossible to figure out. I di not want to try a $300 model. So went back to basics and this was great to know distnace traveled and speed. Very bright readable large display. Easy to install. Only two drawbacks. Only shows trip and total distance and time in addition to speed. No max or minimum trip speed. While this documentation was better than what I mentioned above it was still not great. They squeezed 9 languages onto one sheet of paper. It was a big sheet, but still. It serves as a minimalist's bike computer. It doesn't have many capabilities beyond large letters, present speed, distance and time on the road. I was used to much more with my last unit, but it was unable to live through a parking lot crash. The same mounting bracket for another Sigma allowed it to be shaken loose and it was never found. Stay safe, don't crash and add your miles with a pencil for totals. This will probably last a long time?I received one of these as a birthday present. I rode for over 6000 miles in 2020 and this Sigma Pure 1 ATS Wireless Bike Computer works very well for me. It's easy to set up and install. I'm terrible at deciphering these instruction sheets so I looked it up on you tube. It's a snap and I had it on my bike in minutes. Since then I've ordered two as well to give as birthday and Christmas presents. The recipients are as happy with them as I am. I would recommend it to anyone interested in this product. It does what it says and the speed display is big enough, however the first light drizzle damaged the display and I can't see number one on the first digit of the distance. Very hard to set and then it just doesn't work consistently. Will not start up automatically so you have to take it off and put it back which usually wakes up the connection but not always. Previously had a sigma wired version which worked fine for years so very disappointed with this replacementIch habe den Rad-"Computer" im Juli 18 für das Trekkingrad meiner Frau gekauft. Terrible after 50 miles the sender unit stopped working. Don't bother wasting your money.
